Beloved Faithful,
We would like to announce that The Celebration of the Holy Qurbana will be resuming for the 3 Central Valley Parishes; Mar Zaia Cathedral Modesto, Mar Addai Parish Turlock (Larsa Hall), and Mar Gewargis Parish Ceres this Sunday, May 31st 2020.
Raza Qadisha for Pentecost will be celebrated by His Grace, Bishop Mar Awa Royel, Sunday May 31st at 9:00am PST and live streamed on Facebook & YouTube.
We are excited to be able to open our doors to the public for the first time in months! With reopening our churches comes the following guidelines:
Entrance will be from the side door near the Treasurer’s Office/Kid’s Room.
Committee Members will conduct health screenings of parishioners and visitors for temperature and/or symptoms upon arrival.
Parishioners/visitors will wash their hands and/or apply hand sanitizer prior to entering the church foyer/lobby. Multiple sanitizing stations will also be available throughout the church.
Every other pew will be blocked off to ensure we are practicing social distancing. Each open pew will seat 3 people unless you attend with your immediate family. Immediate family members will be able to sit together in 1 pew.
Only 100 people will be allowed inside the church at a time. Once parishioners begin to exit after receiving Holy Communion, Ushers will allow additional parishioners to enter for Holy Communion.
Absolutely no congregating inside or outside of the premises. If you choose to wait for the conclusion of Raza you must wait in your vehicle.
Masks are optional but recommended.
Please follow markings and keep distance while in line for Holy Communion
Borrowed head scarves will not be made available, please ensure to bring your own head scarves.
Exit immediately after receiving Holy Communion. Signs and Ushers will direct you to the north side door exit.
Additionally, for your health and safety we recommend & encourage parishioners and visitors who are sick or exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, or who have family members who are ill, to stay home. We will continue to offer live streaming of services for those who cannot make it.
For those of you who wish to receive Bookhra, we will continue to offer the distribution after the completion of Raza Qadisha. We will also be distributing Girdu this Sunday.
Next Sunday, June 7th, we will be selling Kabob Sandwiches for $6. Please join us after the Celebration of Raza Qadisha. Orders are to-go only.
